Sometimes we can get stuck in a rut with what we wear to work. And most of the times it’s because we stick to same old dull, dark and drab (that’s a deadly d combo 😂) pieces. There’s no better time than Spring to refresh your wardrobe with pops of color to bring life back to your Mon-Fri wardrobe. Here are a couple of outfits me and my bestie Shalini came up with to add some color to your work outfit but still being professional at the same time.
I loved how Shalini went with all-out color. She opted for a cherry red pencil skirt instead of a classic black one. This red one is perfect for Spring. She is a huge gingham fan but instead of the traditional black & white gingham, she chose blue. This really makes the outfit pop.
I’m not a big color person, neutrals are my comfort zone. So my basic idea behind this look was to add a pop of color to my neutral staple pieces. I started off with a piece that I love, this statement window pane white blazer from Forever 21. A white blazer instantly makes any look more Spring/Summer appropriate. If you don’t have one I strongly suggest you get one ASAP. Teamed it with a dolphin hemline grey skirt. Now to add that pop of color to the look I went with this cobalt blue tank blouse that I’ve had for a long time. I love cobalt blue, it’s a vibrant color which makes a statement without being in your face. I love how the cobalt blue pops against the white blazer. I was feeling adventurous so I went with a pastel pink bag. Finished the look with my favorite nude pumps. They are one of my 6 Must-Have Spring Shoes.
I hope you guys got some ideas from our looks to make your everyday work outfits more fun and colorful. How do you guys switch things up for the warmer months? Let me know in the comments. Thanks for reading!
